China Security Regulatory Commission  [ Shenzhen | PRC ]
Scope of Work :
Interior Design

This project transformed a 7,000 sm nightclub into the corporate headquarters of the governing body, China Securities Regulatory Commission. The program included a lobby, atrium, administrative offices and an executive floor.

Full Scale captured the essence of traditional Chinese architecture in this contemporary context. The atrium is organized by a sweeping limestone wall with a carefully placed circular opening, while the welcoming reflecting pond with bamboo and ornamental stone softens the interior architecture. The executive floor located at the top includes sliding wood doors and glass partitions, clear and translucent connecting the offices with natural light. Cantilevered balconies piercing through the limestone wall are places of quiet to observe activities in the atrium.
